A Tisket a Tasket Look at my new Summer Basket & Bathing Suit!

Hey All,
Spring is right around the corner, this Friday it's suppose to me nice a warm out. So i though i would do a blog about my new swimsuit i just purchased. This July i will be going to Florida with Bruce for some relaxation, and my uncles wedding.

The bathing suit is 1940's inspired, Emerald green which looks great for people who have brown hair or red heads. I also like it because it covers more than today's bathing suits. The bottoms come high to cover the belly button. It also has fabric that covers the bottom area like a little skirt. The top is very classic, with a tie on the neck and a clasp in the back. The cups are bigger than bathing suit tops today, not shaped as triangles that don't leave much to the imagination. I purchased this on a vintage inspired website called Dillingers Pin-Up, they offer bathing suits, intimate items, and accessories. Here is the link to the bathing suit i bought there dillingerpinup Esther Williams Pinup Bikini Swimsuit Emerald Green
I will make sure when i wear my suit on my vacation, that i post some pictures so you can see me as a 1940's Bathing Beauty.

The next item i bought from AAA Antiques last weekend was a 1950's beach bag. You can tell it was hand made, the bag is made of Raffia Grass same as what you would see on a real Hula Skirt. It was in great condition no holes or snagging on it. The coloring of the flowers is amazing, even the pop out puds on the top and bottom. It does have a bit of weight to it, so i would have to pack light so the handles don't rip off.
I have to say for $10 this was a great find!

That's all for my Summer bathing suit fashion for now, I hope you enjoyed it.

Oh, by the way I was thinking last night that i have been going on and on about AAA Antique Mall, and i never put a link on my blog so that people could visit the store. So here is the link AAA Antiques Mall Maryland.
Also her is another antique mall i go to which is a bit further away for me, Old Glory Antiques
They carry more vintage clothing than AAA does, it's just a shame that they are an hour drive away from DC.
Well everyone i hope you have a great rest of the week, and you are excited as much as i am about spring, but for now stay warm!

Sincerely
Whitney K.
